The Chef’s Table offers locally-sourced food and delicious international flavours prepared and served by students of Fanshawe’s School of Tourism, Hospitality & Culinary Arts. Every meal and product you order is a learning experience that delivers an outstanding guest experience and service.
The Scene
Centrally located in the hub of downtown London’s vibrant core, Fanshawe College has renovated a treasured heritage building to accommodate their School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts. At ground level, The Chef’s Table is the public face of the school, a bright, clean and comfortable restaurant with street views, high ceilings, and a seasonal sidewalk patio. An open kitchen offers a view of student chefs hard at work, but you will also be greeted and served by hospitality students. All are trained and monitored by seasoned professional instructors, ensuring both quality guest experiences and superb learning opportunities.
Menu Highlights
Fanshawe students and faculty have created a Feast ON™-certified lunch menu using as many locally-sourced items as possible, from the ingredients in your dish to the beer in your glass. Expect seasonal changes in a range of options, including a Veg-Forward Dish of the Day — a student-inspired vegetarian entrée — and assorted salads. Meat lovers might choose the Flat-Iron Steak, with warm potato salad, quick pickled veg and chimichurri. There’s something for everyone.
The Chef’s Table also runs an Online Store, offering freshly butchered meats from their Professional Butchery Techniques students, baked goods from the Baking and Pastry Arts students and prepared entrées from the Culinary Management students. Orders open on Friday and close on Wednesday, with pick-up on Thursday afternoon.
