Watson’s Chelsea Bazaar is a beloved Stratford establishment known for its large — sometimes quirky — mix of quality housewares and gifts. As proprietor Carole Rowe notes, “Everything can be bought online these days, except a unique experience. The essence of the store is ‘old fashioned,’ in the best kind of way, and it’s always interesting.”

The Scene

As the fourth generation in a housewares business launched in Stratford by her great-grandfather in 1895, proprietor Carole Rowe works steeped in family and town history. Beyond a unique shopping experience, you’ll find a true “bazaar” over two full floors of the heritage building, with more than a little bit of everything.

Through shopping the best gift shows in North America and Europe, Watson’s brings in strong brands such as Emma Bridgewater (pottery), Fiesta (tableware), La Rochere (glassware) and Smeg (kitchen appliances) as well as Dunoon (mugs) and Gurgle Pot.
