Siblings Tanya (Winemaker) and Steve Mitchell (Sales & Marketing) have been crafting wines for 17 years at Ontario’s only beachfront winery. Enjoy over 20 different wine styles available to sample at their beautiful winery every day 11 to 5.
Taste wines and enjoy one of their picnic baskets on the beach or covered patio. Picnic baskets include gourmet cheese, deli baguettes, fruit, vegetables, hummus, antipasto, and dessert. Private and guided group tours can be booked by appointment.
The Scene
Ontario’s only beachfront winery, Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery handcrafts 100% Ontario VQA wines. A deep love of wine, art and rustic architecture influenced the Mitchell family to create a beautiful Tuscan-style “old world” building with views of the vineyard and Lake Erie.
An elegant Reception Hall with panoramic views was added in 2015. Full service wedding and event planning services are available.

Wine Highlights
With a focus on quality craft production, they produce three series of wines available at the winery store, with a lineup that is broad enough to offer you something you enjoy.
The LCBO carries their Sprucewood Shores Pinot Grigio, Dry Riesling, Sweet Select Riesling, Lady in Red (Cabernet Merlot), and now Beach Glass White.
A mulled wine — Warm ’n Cozy — is available in November and December, perfect for chilly nights.
Sprucewood Shores Appassimento wines are the first and only wines produced from dried grapes in the Lake Erie North Shore region. These mind-blowing wines of excellent quality can be opened now but have great aging potential and will develop even more complexity in 5–7 years.
