This small-batch coffee roastery and café was established in 2018 by Woodstock resident and Master Roaster Elio Caporicci and partner Kate Leatherbarrow. Their mission: “To provide Oxford County with a world-class coffee experience by delivering the freshest, best tasting, small-batch coffee in the region.” Early Bird Coffee was soon found in the hearts and mugs of many area families and businesses, and a second café was added in Downtown Woodstock in 2021. Both locations have unique offerings while sharing the same commitment to great coffee.
The Scene
Conveniently located just off Hwys 401 and 403, the rustic original space offers a view of the roastery/coffee lab, a cozy café, and a small retail space. Sit at one of the comfortable chairs and tables or at the hand-built herringbone bartop and revel in the welcoming ambience. The second café location offers a warm heritage vibe in Downtown Woodstock, with soaring ceilings and cozy seating. State-of-the-art espresso machines in both locations produce the area’s best espresso-based drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, cortados and seasonal features. Enjoy your favourite drink with delicious house-made baked goods such as pastries, tarts, cookies and doughnuts.
Coffee Highlights
Early Bird roasts quality, sustainably-sourced coffee beans from farms in Honduras, Colombia, Brasil and Ethiopia. Signature house blends include light, medium and dark roasts, espresso and decaf. Enjoy a cup with the good people at Early Bird, or take a freshly roasted bag home with you!
