This small-batch, wholesale coffee roastery and café was established in 2018 by Woodstock resident and Master Roaster Elio Caporicci and his hospitable wife Kate. Their mission: “To provide Oxford County with a world-class coffee experience by delivering the freshest, best tasting, small-batch coffee in the region.” Early Bird Coffee has already found its way onto the shelves of local businesses such as Beantown Coffee Co., and into the hearts and mugs of many area families.
Conveniently located near the junction of highways 401 and 403, the rustic, 1,200-square-foot space has three areas: an open viewing roastery/coffee lab, a cozy café, and a small retail space. Sit at one of the comfortable chairs and tables or at the hand-built herringbone bartop and revel in the welcoming ambience. A gold-tempered espresso machine produces coffee-based specialty drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, cortados and seasonal features. Enjoy your favourite drink with locally-baked goods such as cakes, tarts and doughnuts, which might be chocolate chip with peanut crumble, or lemon cream-filled, rolled in sugar.
Early Bird roasts quality, ethically-sourced coffee beans exclusively, for superior taste and to meet Fair Trade practices, from sustainable farms in Honduras, Peru, and Costa Rica. Signature house blends include light, medium and dark roasts, espresso and decaf. Specialty coffee-based drinks include the Red Velvet Latte with locally- sourced Habitual chocolate, whipped cream and red sugar.
