The Scene
The yellow brick Italianate-style mansion on Main Street stands out with decorative bracket eaves, large bay windows and a well-manicured lawn with mature maple trees. This is the original Carling homestead (circa 1870s), a designated historic landmark. Contemporary updates from two extensive renovations, including an additional dining room to ensure well-spaced tables and a fully-shaded new patio, blend smoothly with original features such as elegant 12-foot ceilings.
