White Squirrel Golf Club established a new and enthusiastic reputation with food lovers, although the location was familiar. The golf course has been an integral part of the Huron County scene since the 1970s, but when White Squirrel Investments purchased the property in 2018, their vision included more than great golf. They certainly saw an opportunity in the beautiful golf course but a key plan was to create a truly welcoming clubhouse for more than golfers.
The Scene
Hit the driving range or book a tee time at the public 18-hole golf course just off the shores of Lake Huron, but plan to enjoy time relaxing following your golf. The expansive patio is a friendly spot with covered seating, and the restaurant and bar have a similar vibe: comfortable and casual with rustic touches but a modern feel. Live music Friday and Saturday nights adds to the welcoming atmosphere.
White Squirrel is a year-round Huron County destination. Featured events in the off-season include trivia, bingo nights, drag and comedy shows. Menu Highlights
The White Squirrel recipe — offering quality, locally sourced foods and a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits and entertainment — has been enormously successful. A professional culinary team uses the area’s best produce and locally sourced meats and seafood to create tasty dishes for everyone to enjoy. The menu changes seasonally, but always features traditional pub classics and old favourites.
Specialties include a variety of wood-fired-oven pizzas. Sunday Brunch is special at White Squirrel, and there’s even a Kid’s Brunch Menu in addition to the everyday Kid’s Menu.
Group Packages
White Squirrel is the place to go for group or team bookings and events. In the summer, they offer a full-day package including shuttle, driving range, golf, lunch at the turn, and dinner after the final ball is holed.
The spacious Solarium is a beautiful private space that can be made available when you book your holiday parties and corporate events, at any time of the year.
